from the President
When I acquired
Smov in
1965, thus entering directly into the deep end
in the ceramics sector, Italy was heading towards the economic
miracle that would finally see its entry as one of the major
world industrial powers. The long road to reconstruction was
accompanied by exceptional development not only in the
building sector but also for consumption in general. With just
70 employees and sales of € 1.5 million, Smov became
one of the most important industries within the Reggio Emilia
area, with revenues of about €26 million
at the end of the 1970’s with 540 employees.
After
almost thirty years from
that tremendous growth, I cannot but look back with pride at
the results achieved in Italy and overseas by our
Group.
Ricchetti Group, quoted
on the Stock Exchange since 1996, is an industrial reality.
A series of financial and company
operations have contributed to implant our sales and
distribution network around the world and to maintain
appropriate commercial margins in a highly competitive
industry.
 We are a modern company, which invests
resources in the
research and
development for new production
processes.
We are a company that pays attention to
the evolution of taste and the requirements of the individual
retail markets and of large purchasers.
We are a solid company, with a strong
financial position, that through targeted acquisitions and
good financing conditions, continues to grow and to improve its
market share.
Finally, we are a company that never
gets tired in improving the quality of its products and
customer service.
And this is our winning philosophy since many
years ago.
