Product, light and geometry

Fusion of product and light, thus substance and non-substance, solidity and lightness, earth and air: the architectural project with which Gruppo Cerdisa Ricchetti presents itself at Cersaie 2024 has the ambition to encapsulate these apparent antitheses.
A perfect balance between opposites, which in this booth not only attract, but also merge with each other creating a unique sensorial experience.
Light, through diagonals running across the floor, walls and ceiling, becomes the main element to organize the space, which is transformed into a subtle and concentric dance of different colors, surfaces, formats and reliefs.
The ceramic product is emphasized in its materiality by the lights in an indissoluble union.
The detail and three-dimensionality of graphics and surfaces attract the touch, just as the richness and contrast between glossy and matt finishes attract the eye.

Alongside the intangible lines created by light are solid lines that frame the product, interpreting it both through the usual ceramic poses and through abstract artistic compositions, emphasizing the versatility of porcelain stoneware, applicable to any context, from the most traditional to the most artistic and abstract.

Cerdisa and Ricchetti: all the characteristics of each brand emerge in this experiential space; individualities aggregate and strengthen in a unicum that represents the synergy and complementarity of GCR's proposals.

Among the most eagerly awaited novelties of this edition, the public will be able to discover Glomera by Cerdisa, which marks a new chapter in the evolution of the ceramic surface concept, with a focus on aesthetics and functionality.
In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to admire the collections already shown at Coverings 2024, including the striking Slatestone by Cerdisa, which combines the strength of slate with the beauty of quartzite, the refined Salentina by Ricchetti, inspired by Mediterranean stones, and the romantic Pearls by Ricchetti, characterized by a silky texture that conveys a feeling of luxury and delicacy.

Let us now briefly review them.

CERDISA

Glomera is distinguished by its agglomerate essence, derived from Greek and Latin terms that encapsulate the idea of a compact and cohesive whole. An effect that directly evokes a tangible material, sometimes more like concrete, sometimes more like terrain; available in six colors, two formwork effects and two pop patterns declined in the various colors. This collection manifests itself through durable and functional surfaces with abstract and stylized textures, free from natural references merely to replicate. The range includes tone-on-tone patterns such as Sunray, chromatic accents with Matrix, and a revisitation of the formwork with Claywood; it is then complemented by the Cross surface for advanced performance in cleanability, non-slip and pleasantness to the touch.

Slatestone embodies the essence of natural slate, with a revolutionary fusion of quartzite. The collection is distinguished by its variety of sizes, from the geometric precision of its perfectly rectified edges. The surface is rich in reflections that are sometimes more iridescent and sometimes more matt, just like the stones it is inspired by; it also boasts the innovative Cross finish, which, thanks to applied nano-granules, makes Slatestone non-slip, soft to the touch and easy to clean, ensuring a perfect visual continuity between interior and exterior with a single solution.

RICCHETTI

Salentina draws inspiration from the beauty of traditional Italian Mediterranean stones. Shades and rectified edges, enriched by irregular chiselings, give Salentina an incredible realism; this is amplified by T2D technology, which enriches the surface with matter and three-dimensional glossy-matt reflections. Also provided is the Cross finish, which allows for both indoor and outdoor use.

The four shades of the Pearls collection take inspiration from the hues of the sky and the light that shapes it in various contexts. The matte lapped surface, called Honed, gently accommodates graphic shapes and transparencies, evoking ethereal spaces of Magrittian memory. The large 120x120 format, combined with the perfectly rectified edges, give the collection all the potential to be equally contextualized in intimate as well as wide-ranging spaces.
